Implant identification
Not sure which dental implant you have?
Many patients have an implant placed years ago — sometimes in another state or another country — and no longer know the brand or system. When a crown loosens, a screw breaks, or a new dentist needs parts, that missing information can bring treatment to a halt. Dr. Royzman can help identify your implant system from your X-rays and records, so the right components can be found and your care can continue.
How it works
- 1
Start a secure request and choose “Implant identification” as your reason for the visit.
- 2
Upload any X-rays, treatment records, or implant cards you have — even old or partial records help.
- 3
Meet Dr. Royzman by video. She reviews your images, examines the area on camera, and discusses her findings.
- 4
You receive guidance on the likely implant system and the next step for restoring or maintaining it.
Why identification matters
Every implant system uses its own screws, abutments, and tools — the wrong part simply will not fit.
A correct identification lets any treating dentist order compatible components.
It avoids unnecessary exploratory surgery just to find out what was placed.
It helps plan repairs, new crowns, or maintenance with realistic expectations.
Good to know
An identification is based on the images and records available. In some cases an in-person X-ray or examination is needed to confirm the system, and Dr. Royzman will tell you if that applies to you.
Pain, swelling, or a broken restoration? A virtual consultation can clarify the next step. Life-threatening symptoms require 911 or immediate emergency care.
